The Sooners For Life Scholarship Program was created to assist former student-athletes complete their undergraduate degree and/or pursue a graduate degree. This world-class program has a variety of opportunities in which we are reinforcing our athletic department’s mission to develop leaders and inspire champions. Since the fall of 2014 we have:

• Awarded scholarships to 180+ former student-athletes
• 170+ degrees have been earned
• Awarded over $1.6 million in scholarship money

​Among this impressive group of elite individuals, we are seeing the educational journey of the next generation of doctors, lawyers, coaches, etc. be earned right before our eyes and within our community.

​This semester, we are contributing to the educational opportunities of 25 former student-athletes totaling nearly $165,000. 
 
Our goal is to continue to grow our number of applicants every year while also increasing the dollar amounts in which we allocate to our recipients. Our dream is to help every former student-athlete reach their desired educational goals through world-class resources and philanthropic support from the Sooner family.
