S.O.U.L. MISSION MICRO-INTERNSHIPS
MAY 15 - 19, 2023
Each spring, OU football student-athletes engage in a unique professional learning experience by participating in week-long paid micro-internships with companies spanning a variety of industries. This
participation includes a real-world practical approach to job seeking/placement that position the student-athletes for success in their micro-internship as well as future career endeavors. The S.O.U.L. Mission Micro-Internship Program is an impactful opportunity for our athletes to experience and exist in the business world while balancing the demands of their academic studies and athletic participation. By allowing student-athletes to exhibit their teamwork, public speaking skills, work ethic, and time management skills, they can grow their network and develop relationships.
INTERVIEW DAYS
March 2 & 3 , 2023
The Process
After signing up for the micro-internship, student athletes participate in essential preparatory skills such as resume & CV writing, and mock interviews. Prospective employers are then invited to formally interview the pool of candidates to explore position placement.
THE INTERVIEWS
Join S.O.U.L. Mission to see firsthand where our student-athletes mature mentally, physically and spiritually. After viewing practice, your company representative will participate in 1-1 interviews with our student-athlete candidates. Directly following the interview, feedback should be provided to facilitate real-time learning and enhancement of their interview skills. The visit will conclude with a lunch or dinner with S.O.U.L. Mission and our student-athletes, allowing for a more casual networking experience.
